When do you get compensation for waste oil?

Waste oil is not always a cost — in many cases it is actually a valuable raw material. Whether you receive compensation, and how much, depends on a few factors. We list them here.
1. Volume
The larger the quantity collected in one go, the more favourable the terms. Large volumes make transport more efficient and increase the value of the batch. For smaller quantities, it can pay to save up or combine several streams into a single collection.
2. Quality and purity
Clean, uncontaminated oil is worth more than oil mixed with water, coolant or solvents. Contamination makes processing more complex and can reduce the compensation or even turn it into a processing cost. Good storage therefore directly affects the value.
3. Market conditions
The value of waste oil moves with the commodity and energy markets. The compensation can therefore vary from period to period. With a structural collection schedule we agree fixed, transparent terms, so you know where you stand.
