Privacy statement

IAM BV attaches great importance to protecting your personal data. In this privacy statement we explain which data we collect, why we do so and how we handle it. We process personal data carefully and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the GDPR.

1. Data controller

2. What data we process

Depending on your contact with us, we may process the following data:

• name and address details of you and/or your company;
• contact details such as name, email address and telephone number;
• data about your waste stream (type of waste, volume, form of storage, location);
• data you enter in our contact or quotation form;
• administrative and legally required waste documentation (such as waste accompaniment notes).

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process your data to handle your request, prepare a quote, schedule collection and transport, comply with our legal obligations regarding waste registration, and to communicate with you. The legal bases for this are the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation and our legitimate interest as a waste-management company.

4. Retention periods

We do not retain your data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as we are legally required to. Statutory retention periods apply to waste and transport documentation and tax records (generally seven years).

5. Sharing with third parties

We share your data only with parties involved in the delivery of our services — such as processors, transporters and government bodies — or when we are legally required to. We conclude data-processing agreements with processors. We never sell your data to third parties.

To process form submissions we use Cloudflare (which hosts the form endpoint) and Resend (email delivery). These parties process only the data you enter in the form, in order to deliver your enquiry to us.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to restrict its processing. You can also object to processing and exercise your right to data portability. Send your request to info@iambv.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing. If you believe your data is not properly secured, please contact us.
