What is wastewater?

Wastewater covers all liquid residual streams from production and business processes — from industrial wastewater and process water to oil-water mixtures and cooling water. The composition determines the right processing route. IAM assesses the stream, pumps it on site and has it responsibly processed.

Which wastewater streams do we process?

Industrial wastewater

Contaminated water from production and industrial processes.

Process water

Water from process and cleaning steps, disposed of when contaminated.

Rinse & wash water

Rinse and wash water from machines and wash bays.

Oil-water mixtures

Mixtures of oil and water from separators and production.

Cooling water

Contaminated cooling water from installations and processes.

Sludge & sediment

Settled sludge fractions from tanks and separators.

Specialism

Collecting industrial wastewater

Production sites, the process industry and technical service companies release wastewater with widely varying compositions — acidic or alkaline, oily, metal-bearing or laden with chemical residues. Each composition demands its own approach, the right EURAL classification and a certified processing route.

IAM collects industrial wastewater on site — from a single IBC to tanker volumes — transports it ADR-authorised and has it processed responsibly, with watertight documentation throughout the chain.

Frequently asked questions

Which wastewater can IAM dispose of?

From industrial wastewater and process water to oil-water mixtures and cooling water. Based on the composition we determine the right processing route.

Can IAM pump large volumes?

Yes, we pump on site and also remove large volumes ADR-authorised.

Do I receive documentation on disposal?

With every disposal you receive watertight chain documentation, so the chain is demonstrably compliant.

How quickly can wastewater be collected?

Collection is often possible within a few working days. You can choose a fixed schedule or a one-off pump-out; we coordinate volume and access with you in advance.

Does wastewater count as hazardous waste?

That depends on the composition. Oily, chemical or contaminated wastewater is often classified as hazardous waste under a EURAL code. We help you classify the stream correctly.
