Oil-water mixtures separated & processed

The challenge

An industrial client had residual streams in which oil and water were mixed. Such mixtures are tricky: processing depends heavily on the exact composition, and incorrect disposal is expensive and environmentally damaging.

Our approach

We first had the mixtures analysed and then separated the oil and water fractions. Each fraction was then routed to the highest-grade, most sustainable processing route, in line with the applicable processing standards.

The result

By separating the streams instead of disposing of them as one, processing became more sustainable and economically more favourable. The client received a transparent report of the entire route.
