Have industrial wastewater collected & processed

Production sites and the process industry release wastewater with widely varying compositions. IAM collects industrial wastewater on site — from a single IBC to tanker volumes — transports it ADR-authorised and has it processed responsibly, with watertight documentation throughout the chain.

What is industrial wastewater?

Industrial wastewater is the contaminated water released by production and industrial processes — from process and rinse water to cooling water, wash water and oil-water mixtures. Depending on its composition it may be acidic or alkaline, oily, metal-bearing or laden with chemical residues, which means it usually cannot be discharged to the sewer and must be classified, collected and processed as (hazardous) waste.

IAM assesses the composition, determines the correct EURAL code and processing route, pumps the stream on site and has it processed at certified facilities — so you meet your environmental obligations with a single point of contact.

Which industrial wastewater streams do we collect?

Process & rinse water

Contaminated water from production lines and rinsing steps.

Oil-water mixtures

Oily water from separators, pits and machining processes.

Wash & degreasing water

Wash water from cleaning baths, parts washers and wash bays.

Cooling & boiler water

Contaminated cooling and boiler water from installations.

Acidic & alkaline rinses

Acid and alkaline rinses from surface treatment and etching.

Sludge & sediment

Settled sludge fractions from tanks, buffers and separators.

Watertight, audit-proof documentation

Multiple streams combined in one collection

How does it work?

1

Assessment & classification

We assess the composition (where needed via analysis) and determine the correct EURAL code and processing route.

2

Planning & pumping

We plan a fixed or one-off collection and pump the stream on site — from IBC to tanker volumes.

3

ADR transport & processing

The stream is transported ADR-authorised and processed at certified facilities.

4

Documentation & completion

You receive the full chain and processing documentation, so the chain is demonstrable and audit-proof.

Regulations & certification

Compliant from collection to processing

Industrial wastewater may generally not be discharged to the sewer and demands the right permits, EURAL classification and watertight paperwork — IAM arranges it end to end.

Frequently asked questions

May industrial wastewater be discharged to the sewer?

Usually not. Industrial wastewater that is oily, acidic, alkaline, metal-bearing or chemically contaminated may generally not be discharged and must be collected and processed as (hazardous) waste. We assess the stream and arrange compliant disposal.

Which volumes can IAM collect?

From a single IBC to tanker volumes. We pump on site and transport the stream ADR-authorised, both for one-off requests and a fixed collection schedule.

Is a sample analysis required?

Often a composition assessment is enough; for complex or unknown streams we arrange a sample analysis to set the correct EURAL code and processing route. We guide you through this.

Do I receive documentation when industrial wastewater is disposed of?

Yes. With every collection you receive watertight chain documentation, so your disposal is demonstrably compliant and audit-proof.
