Laws & regulations

Waste rules on the farm

Agricultural businesses produce waste you cannot put with ordinary commercial waste: waste oil and filters from machinery, residues and packaging of crop-protection products, batteries and fluorescent tubes. Empty, rinsed product packaging has its own collection route; leftover products are small hazardous waste. IAM collects these streams nationwide — including rural areas.

Crop-protection residues

Leftover products and unrinsed packaging are KGA and must leave in UN-approved packaging via an approved route.

Oil & filters from machinery

Waste oil from tractors and machinery is hazardous waste subject to registration — and with good quality possibly worth compensation.

Prevent farmyard emissions

Leaking drums and rinse water on the yard cause soil and water contamination. Sound storage and timely removal prevent it.

Agricultural clients prefer to plan removal around the season — and that is how we work. In a single run we take oil, filters, KGA and other streams, with the right packaging delivered to the yard in advance. Per stream you receive a consignment note for your records, certain that leftover products and oily waste never end up in soil or ditch.

Waste management for the agricultural sector

On the farm many residual streams arise: used engine and hydraulic oil, oil filters, fuel residues, empty and full crop-protection products, batteries and other small hazardous waste. IAM collects these streams on site — including in rural areas — and ensures responsible, certified processing with full documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Which waste streams does IAM handle for agriculture?

Among others waste oil, oil filters, fuel residues, crop-protection residues, batteries and commercial waste — bundled in one arrangement.

Does IAM also collect in rural areas?

Yes, we have nationwide coverage and also collect at rural locations.

Do I receive compensation for waste oil?

For valuable streams such as waste oil, compensation is often possible, depending on volume and quality.

Do I receive documentation on disposal?

Yes, you receive watertight chain documentation for every stream removed.

What do I do with leftover crop-protection products?

Do not dilute or discharge them: leftovers are small hazardous waste. We supply suitable packaging and remove them with a consignment note.

Do you also collect in rural areas?

Yes. We operate nationwide, including farms outside built-up areas. We align frequency with your season and volumes.

Can removals be planned per season?

Certainly. Many farms choose collection moments after peak seasons, combining oil, KGA and other streams in a single run.

What does collecting agricultural hazardous waste cost?

That depends on the streams, volumes and accessibility of the yard. By combining several streams in one run we keep costs down — you receive one clear quote in advance.
