Have tank-cleaning water collected

Cleaning tanks, IBCs and tank containers releases contaminated cleaning water with residual product, oil or chemicals. IAM collects this tank-cleaning water on site, transports it ADR-authorised and has it processed responsibly.

What is tank-cleaning water?

Tank-cleaning water is the water released when internally cleaning storage tanks, IBCs, drums and tank containers. It contains residues of the stored product — for example oil, fuel, chemicals or food residue — and must therefore be collected and processed as a waste stream. IAM assesses the composition, pumps it on site and arranges compliant disposal.

Which tank-cleaning water do we collect?

Frequently asked questions

Does IAM also clean the tank itself?

We focus on collecting and processing the cleaning water and residual product; cleaning itself can be arranged with a partner if required.

May tank-cleaning water be discharged?

Usually not — due to residual product, oil or chemicals it must be disposed of as a waste stream. We assess and classify it.

Which volumes can IAM pump?

From a single IBC to tanker volumes, pumped on site and removed ADR-authorised.

Do I receive documentation on disposal?

Yes, with every disposal you receive watertight chain documentation.
